Nope, you have to do it the 'hard' way
steps
- decide the SID
- edit /etc/oratab, adding the SID in format
SID $ORACLE_HOME directory autostart y/n
- run . oraenv, making sure $ORACLE_SID and $ORACLE_HOME are correct
- copy $ORACLE_HOME/dbs/init<oldsid>.ora to $ORACLE_HOME/dbs/init<newsid>.ora
- do the same with .../config<oldsid>.ora if you have one
- change the db_name (in the latter file if you have one) and the location of
control_files
(Make sure you use @ to refer to the SID and ? to refer to Oracle_home as much
as possible)
- write a create database script
- run svrmgrl and within svrmgrl the following
connect internal
startup nomount
spool anything
@<create database script>
@$ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/catalog.sql
@$ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/catproc.sql
@$ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/catexp.sql
exit
This should be basically it.
