Export/Import between NT and Unix?

Hi All!

I have to export a database from a Windows NT server to our Unix server. Both servers are running Oracle 7.3.3. The Unix server is a Sun box - running Solaris 2.6....

I'm fairly sure I can accomplish this little feat - the export was the easy part. Now comes the harder part - importing it into the instance on the Unix side of the fence.

I know that I'm going to have to create the tablespaces prior to the import since my dump file contains NT filenames in it and not Unix style file names.

Is there anything else I need to keep my eyes peeled on before I do the import? Will my dump file survive an Ftp transfer?

Any & all help much appreciated!

Regards,
