I take it you have actually checked that there is enough space free? Have you deleted the *exact* same database before you start the restore - in other words, the restore must fit?

What about the client, media and nsr files that LSM uses - are you sure they have enough space?

I've done a few destroy/restore tests with LSM on AIX databases on raw devices and they've all worked OK. Maybe you have a buggy version on your platform? Try phoning Oracle Tech. Supp. and check it out.
