We need to connect a live Oracle 7.3.2 DB running on a Sun 450 Server on the Solaris Platform (2.6.1) and Netscape Enterprise Server on a Sun 150 Server also on solaris.

Is there a way of doing this? is it using JDBC? remember it is two physically seperate machines. They are in the same room but the oracle is under a firewall for the corporate intranet, and the enterprise server is outside the wall, so that (potentially) people can query some parts of the oracle db. Firewall is solstics.

Please tell us if this is possible? if it is possible what is the method and what are the tools?

If your'e not sure please point us to some potential rescources.

thanxs in advance!

please email responce as well as post it here!
