FYI,
I just changed the initora parameter bitmap_merge_area_size from 1mb to 6mb
and one of my benchmark queries went from 4 minutes to 30 seconds.
The index definitions are extemely large. I am using partition tables.
These are local indexes. Right now I have 30 partitions for this table.
