Hello,
While installing Oracle 7.3.4 on a Solaris 2.6 machine, I get the
following message during the post-installation, when I run the
script $ORACLE_HOME/orainst/root.sh:
Please raise the ORACLE owner's ulimit as per the IUG.
I don't get it:
- What is the IUG?
- Which one of the ulimits should be raised? The previous
steps of the installation procedure never meant anything about
setting "ulimit".
- I don't understand the logic in "root.sh"; as this script is generated
during the installation, could it be that it is not correctly created?
- Oracle 7.3.4 is not explicitely supported on Solaris 2.6 (which came
after 7.3.4), any problem with that?
Thanks for any help
