Export file and diff OS

Forgive my ignorance on this particular issue however the time has come for us to leave NT and move to Solaris. With this said I was always under the impression that the Oracle binary export file was good for any platform. I am know being informed that there is indeed going to be a problem converting from little endian to big endian. Is this true and if so how do I overcome this dilema? Any help/Info on this would be welcome.
