Hi,

When trying to create a database for oracle on linux, the system keeps telling me that the database being created has already been mounted by another instance. Usually, this is a problem of remaining shmem segments or sga definition files or lk files, or because of remaining processes from previouse tries. However, I have removed all of these and still it does not work.

Does anybody have any experience with this kind of problem? Where might this remaining instance be detected?

Thanks for any help on this matter,

Guy
