Well didnt Oracle make a big thing a couple of years ago about how the NT and SOlaris version would be worked on together rather than doing just the Solaris first.

.... as for programming NT being hard.... difficult to beleive that with the 7.2/3/8.0 all being on NT that they found 8i difficult to produce... remember 8i is really 8.1 except marketing got into the picture.

I also heard that the new touted Oracle "OS less" version in fact has a Solaris OS.... so its very clear which OS you are supposed to be "less" of
