ODBC link Access97 to Oracle not liking Integer fields

When I create an ODBC link between Microsoft Access97 and an Oracle 7.3.3 WGS table, fields that are defined as "integer" in Oracle (e.g., Number(10)) appear as Text fields in Access.

I can only get numbers with a scale not equal to 0 to appear as numeric fields in Oracle.

Is there a way to get Oracle fields having a scale equal to 0 to appear as numeric fields in Access?

We have the following ODBC drivers:

Microsoft ODBC driver for Oracle ver. 2.00.006325
Microsoft ODBC for Oracle ver. 2.573.292700
Oracle73 ver 2.5 ver. 2.05.0301

Thanks in advance,
