I didn't quite understand your problem. Did you loose the datafile containing the RBS ? I would like to know how to simulate this. ( I hope this is not your production machine. ) This is what I would try doing. Shutdown the database and include the undocumented parameter _offline_rollback_segments=(<list>) in the init<sid>.ora . Start the database and then drop the rollback segments. I have tried this on a test machine and this works. You can also try with _corrupted_rollback_segments=(<list>) . I have not tried this but I believe this marks the specified rollback segments corrupt for the life of the database. Both these methods are not supported. I would suggest taking a backup first before trying these out and then rebuilding the database to prevent any inconsistencies.
