Import problem - corrected repost (I hope!)

Sorry for the return address error in my original post! Pleeeze forgive the bounce-backs. See also P.S. below.

I am moving a client from Oracle7 (7.0.15) for Netware (3.11) to Oracle8 (8.0.5) for NT (4 sp4)...

FAILS:
If I export a full or user dmp file from the Netware DB, I get a DrWatson access violation (IMP80)

when I start the import into the NT DB.

WORKS (but ...)

If I export a dmp file that contains only the users tables, the import

completes sucessfully with no errors but I obviously don't have the
      user's Triggers, Procedures, Views etc.

I originally thought that this was due to volume naming differences (Vol1: on netware and unc path on NT) but I tried creating the tablespaces and user on the NT machine before importing and got the same results.

I need to be able to create the tablespaces and user on the NT machine (due to location, size, and organizational differences in the old and new db's) then (ideally) import the user's objects and data.

Anybody have any ideas?

TIA,
Edwin

P.S. If your reply bounces back this time I apologize profusely and have already whacked myself three times (in advance) for you!. Received on Tue Feb 23 1999 - 08:27:50 CST
