I bought this Oracle Developer 2000 book a while back and it included a CD-ROM with free trial software from Oracle. Of particular interest to me was that it has Personal Oracle 7 7.2.2.3.1 for Windows'95. It also has Developer/2000 Forms 4.5.6.5.5F and Reports 2.5.4.0.8 for Win 3.x.

PO7 for Win95 works fine, but I know that installing PO7 for Win3.x under Windows'95 is not supported. I already know that Forms for Win3.x cannot connect to a PO7 for Win95 database on a remote machine. What I would like to know, is there any way I can use the forms and reports for Win 3.x to connect to the sample database in PO7 for Win'95 (all on the same machine, not remotely)? I can log into the sample database in PO7 for Windows'95 using Demo/Demo, Scott/Tiger, etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.          Received on Sun Feb 21 1999 - 06:00:52 CST
