Perl cartridge and OWAS 3.0.1.0.1 NT : Limitations

What limitations do you have with this Perl cartridge?

Specifically what can't you do with the cartridge that you could do with a normal Perl CGI script?

I know that with OWAS 3.x supposedly Perl cannot communicate with the WRB
Are perl "system" commands supposed to work with the cartridge? I would like to call some other external programs from Perl. I have tried this but have had no luck. has anyone got this working?
Does the Perl Cartridge pump to stdout just like CGI programs do. I know the PLSQl cartridge goes through the WRB and not stdout.
