Hi,

    Based on your question you should do a little research before you build a new database. The best reference for what you want to do and what you will need once you do it :-) is Kevin Loney's "The DBA Handbook" Oracle Press. Pick up the appropriate version (Oracle release 7 or Oracle release 8) and you will find complete scripts for building new database instances along with explanations.
