Well it is very difficult to unswer ..
In terms of stability (99,99 % uptime) and cost of management DB2 AS/400 (64 bits power PC) performs much better than Oracle. Scalability and high end performance are very simmilar, but in terms of functionality Oracle has a richer SQL set of commands and tools.

Any way Oracle is a winner in UNIX 64 bits environment never on NT (32 bits) from my point of view. Received on Wed Feb 17 1999 - 16:35:07 CST
