I have noticed that a minimal amount of playing around with the directories, security authorizations, and other settings will soon crash a listener for good (no amount of rebooting or anything but creating a whole new listener (and sometimes I have just resorted to reinstallation) has helped).

This is happening with what I believe is the 3.01 30 day trial version, which I am evaluating. I would like to know if this kind of behavior has been an issue for anyone else and whether or not I can expect it to be resolved once we purchase the full-fledged package (I think we'll be getting something like 3.0.0.18).

As well, which files should I be backing up so I don't have to reconfigure all my listener, wrb, and cartridge settings each time it crashes beyond repair???

Thanks in advance for your advice!!
