I am trying to setup Oracle 8 on a Linux box and Oracle Client on an NT
4 workstation using TCP/IP. I have started the Oracle database and
ensured the Listener has been started on the server. When I try to
connect from NT, using Oracle Net8 Easy config, I get the ORA-12500
error. I get the same error when I try to connect using Svrmgr on the
Linux box.
I would be grateful if someone can give me any help or pointers to where
I can look for info.
