Not really.

This shows all the roles a user (or role) has been granted. What I wanted to find was which ones a session has currently got enabled.

You can check this for your own session via 'SELECT * FROM SESSION_ROLES', but what I wanted was a 'DBA' equivalent which allowed me to determine what role(s) a session other than my own has enabled.

This information would then let me find out which front-end application they were currently connected to the database by (v$session.program does not give me enough info for this).
