Defrag Database

I will be defragging about 15% of the 2000+ tables in my prod database
7.3.4 (AIX) using exp/imp.  I will be putting the DB in restricted mode
for the shortest possible time. Does anyone have any performance
suggestions for speeding up the process ( exp/imp parameters, etc.)?
Order of rebuilding objects. 



Also, and more importantly, what steps do I need to take to assure read
consistency ? Any suggestions are appreciated.
