Yes. Our company is using Oracle 8.0.5. on AMD's K6-II/350 with 128M memory and IBM's 9G SCSI-drive/Mylex SCSI-UW controller with RedHat 5.1.

Only expensive parts were the drive and controller, but in my opinion, they were worth byuing.

Server is working also as a fileserver and it's fast because there are never no more than five concurrent users.

Most of the time bottleneck is not the server, but network ( 10 Mbit/s Ethernet).
