OAS - Can't Run Any Applications!

I am running Oracle Application Server 4.0 on Solaris 2.5.1 and Oracle 7.1.6.2.0. I cannot get the applications portion of the server to work, particulary the PL/SQL cartridge.

I followed all the instructions in the tutorial about creating simplApp1, cart1, etc. and when I visit http://myserver:8888/ and click on the "Applications" menu, I can see all the applications, including the one I just created, but they are all down.

I notice that the Node column for all the applications says "--". It should actually say "myserver", shouldn't it? Anyway, if somebody can help me figure out how to get the applications running, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
