Oracle hot backup on NT

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to dynamically generate hot backup scripts on NT as one would do on VMS or UNIX ?

So far the only docs I can find related to this suggest creating a script where all the tablespace names and datafile names are hard coded into the script, and there is also no error handling.
