Rebuild indexes for snapshot?

Hi,

I have a simple question.

I have a read-only snapshot and I decided to build an index on it.

If I do a complete refresh, what happends with the index? I it rebuild or just the rows in it marked deleted and the new rows inserted? Would not it be a runaway index which soon would take hundreds of it original size with degrading performance?
