first of all i want to thank you a lot for constantly answering my stupid questions! is there any faq aimed at guys familiar with other databases who are being converted :-) ?

i missed that one as i needed something like "(blob is null) as blobemtpy" and

>select decode(mylongraw,0,1) as blobisempty from mytable..

decode doesn't work with long raws..
