Hi all,

Platform : AIX 4.3.1, Oracle 8.0.5.0.0
My problem is that I need to change the hostname from one (en0) to a new one (en1).
When I do a select on v$instance the hostname is pointed to en0 but this IP address does not give client connection assess. What I need to know are
1) How do oracle determine which host to use ( i.e if you have three host on the same box)
2) How can I change the host so that it is pointing to the new one?

Thanks
Ellen
