Thanks for the answer.
The problem is that I donot know the IP Address of my PC. I check the network setting in Windows95->START->Settings->Control Panel->Network->Tcp/IP->IP Address, the setting is 'Obtain an Ip address Automatically'. I think that means whenever I connect to internet with modem, the sever will assign a IP address value to this machine.
When I do not connect to the internet, I think the default IP address 127.0.0.1 is direct to the PC, 'cause I tried ping 127.0.0.1, the result is OK. If I use values other than 127.0.0.1, ping will not work.
I used 127.0.0.1 as IP address to do the SQL Easy Net Configuration and Oracle Net8 Easy Configuration. Neither of them works.
I do not have much knowledge on Tcp/Ip network, please tell me if my concept is wrong.
I just cannot figure out what I've got to do to make it work.
