Yes. They are in tablespaces like normal tables. With these Information
uncommitted transactions are be rolled back after applying redo log
information

transactions (Apart from that tablespace RBD can contain tables too if
you create them there)

Install a backed up control file.
Recover with: RECOVER DATABSE USING BACKUP CONTROLFILE UNTIL CANCEL;
Now Oracle will try to apply redo log file until you run out of archived
redo log files. Oracle will report a file open error.
Now you can abort the recovery with CANCEL.
reopen the database with ALTER DATABASE OPEN RESETLOGS.
Now the online redo logs are initialized new or even created new.
With this procedure the content of present online redo logs is lost.
But this is the case anyway if you are doing a desaster recovery.
