Where did you install the client software from? I had problems with Net8 when I installed the Windows 95 client software from the Oracle for Windows NT CD-ROM. However, after I uninstalled the client software and then reinstalled it from the Fail-Safe CD-ROM, it worked perfectly. The Fail-Safe CD-ROM even had a newer version of the Oracle Installer on it. Go figure.
