DBMS_OUTPUT buffer question

Hi,

Does anybody can tell me how to effectively the DBMS_OUTPUT package?
I'm trying to display large info.
The doc says max size of buffer is 1000000. Can it be re-used in the procedure?
Means is there any command
to re-initialize the buffer ?
