Rollback segment - ORA-01581

We are running Oracle 8.0.4 on Windows NT. Tablespace for rollback segment - 300 M and AUTOEXTEND ON (3 GB free space on HDD)

2 identical rollback segments (online) :

   initial 5 M
   next 5 M
   optimal 25 M
   min 5
   max 2147483645

For large transaction rollback segment
extend to 80M - 120M and generate ORA-01581 error.

What is the reason for this error ?
