Sorry, this one really calls for more information. What makes you think you have a memory leak? Poor cache hit performance does not indicate a memory leak. More likely goofy sql or non-use of bind variables. On the other hand, what buffer are you referring to?

What version of Oracle? What kind of hardware? What specific symptoms are you seeing?
