SGA _Variable Size???

Hi

Could someone please tell me what other elements apart from those in the SHARED_SQL_POOL make up the VARIABLE SIZE in the SGA?

For example my SHARED_SQL_POOL size is 9Mb but the variable size is shown as nearly double that at 17.7Mb. How's this figure derived?
