Hi Folks.

There is no need to run the Intelligent Agent to discover the services. Depending on the version of the OEM, you can manually add a database to the Database-list.
Version 1.2.2 up to 1.3.5
Create a file TOPOLOGY.ORA from your TNSNAMES.ORA. There is a utility which creates it for you.

Version 1.3.6 and higher
Use the option Manually Discover Service from one of the pulldown menu's. Fill in the NODE-name and Database-name and the wizard will create the database-entry for you.

And by the way, this Oracle Enterprise Manager really make things much easier for you ! The best Oracle product in years !
