You may want to start with Personal Oracle8 (PO8) for Win95/NT. You can
get to know the basic ideas and principles of Oracle as a major RDBMS.
You can order a 30-day trial, fully-functional copy of PO8 from
www.oracle.com and install on an NT box (I would avoid win95). BY
installing, configuring and possibly tuning a start-up database you will
learn a lot hands-on knowledge. There is good on-line documentation that
comes with the trial CD, and I consider it the best source of reference.
Finally, check this newsgroup frequently.
