I have two Oracle installations running on two HP-UX hosts, version 8.03
and 7.2.2.4 with SQL*Net and Net8 properly configured (I think.) I have
the database links and listeners setup properly and running. Using
SQL*Plus, I am able to do SQL statements like select, inserts, delete
and update on remote tables. But I'm unable to perform a 'desc' or
'describe' of remote tables. I got an ORA error that the client request
is not supported by the server. How can I fix the problem?
