Re: ORACLE 6?

Hi,

I used Oracle 6 4 years ago. Main differences from Oracle 7:

• constraints can be declared but are disabled and can not be activated, except of check constraints which work fine;
• there are no stored PL/SQL procedures, functions and packages, but anonymous PL/SQL blocks are available;
• deferred OCI calls are unavailable;
• varchar2 columns are limited to 255 bytes max;
• long and long raw columns are limited to 64 K;
• SQL NET 1 does not suppord NLS character set conversion correctly;
• maybe something else which I do not remember now.
