Although you and I are on the same page with choice of operating systems for server-based applications, I disagree with the statement that "Oracle is a little immature on NT". I don't know what metric is used to determine maturity, but Oracle has been available on Windows NT since Oracle7 7.1 (read "years"). As well, a large percentage of the customers I personally work with are deploying many new applications on Oracle7/Oracle8 on Windows NT.
But to your overall point about choice of operating system (for *any* database, all enmity aside), my money would be on UNIX. Thanks!
