Hi Widong,

we tried that already. We disconnected a notebook (running Personal Oracle7 on Win95) from a docking station which included the network adaptor. At that

point we were not able to connect to our localhost. I think that the underlying
networking protocols (think of using SQL*Net via TCP/IP) definitly make use of the networking adaptor.
If you want to connect locally you must even have a device that can do that.

I assume that it is not possible to connect to Oracle without any network adaptor.
