Another analogy might be between a large freight truck and a motorcycle;
there are a lot of neat things one
could do with Access on a small scale, and Oracle (or any serious DBMS)
is used to run large databases. I would imagine that you could do
anything you wanted to do with Oracle and that it would have enough
security and scalability to meet your requirements as well as anything.
One point, of course, is the question of the future of MS Access - does
anyone
have any knowledge of MS's plans about this product with respect to
upgrades to SQL Server?
