Re: Oracle 8 and rman.

I'm just setting up an Oracle 8 database on NT using the supplied Legato software. First suggestion, print off the documentation on RMAN and spend some time in the men's room with it. Good inspirational stuff. Second: Veritas will have documentation. They may also have some white papers out on their web site. I have found that you have to follow the instructions for RMAN very, very carefully and then a lot of inituition must be used. Verify each step that you take. Allocate a lot of time for reading!
