AIX file sizes

We have just installed Oracle 8.0.5 on AIX 4.3. We have the option of setting the default file size to 2G or "enabling large files" which would give us up to 64G max per file. We do have a table which is over 2G in size, and have always split it between two data files on the same disk. Would we benefit by enabling large files sizes and having the table created in 1 data file as opposed to 2? Received on Mon Dec 07 1998 - 00:00:00 CST
