Migrating from Oracle 7.3x to Oracle 8.04

Hi-

Can anyone relay to me any 'war stories' related to migrating from Oracle 7.3x to Oracle 8.04 (or any Oracle 7 flavor to any Oracle 8 flavor). We are looking into doing this, and I am interested in knowing if this is a straight forward process, or if it is fraught with nightmares and hidden 'gotchas'. I have some people telling me this can be achieved in a day or two (the database in question is not that big - probably 30 or so tables, several packages, procedures etc - and is interfaced via a C++ front end), but I'm not willing to buy that yet. If anyone can 'school' me on this I'd appreciate it (and if anyone can suggest a good checklist or source of a good checklist for this process - even better!) Thanks a lot...
