Why would I get - "cannot start already running oracle"
when all I have done is



connect internal


Reply - connected to an idle instance


startup nomount pfile='blah blah blah'


create database etc.,



cannot start already running oracle shut it down first.



??  This is financial app.   Concurrent manager problem??
