You can also use ORADIM80 with Oracle 8 as fallowed:

On Nt:

C:\> ORANDIM80 -DELETE -SID sid

where sid is the SID to delete.

C:\> ORANDIM80 -NEW -SID sid -INTPWD new_password - MAXUSERS n

where sid is the same SID to be recreate, new_password is the new Internal password, and
n is the maximum number or DBAs/operators who can looged in at once with this password.
