I am not trying to get into the Sybase vs. Oracle debate. I will just answer Yassir's specific question.

Yes Sybase has certified VERITAS File System with Quick I/O on Solaris. It is true Sybase does not support ASE running on other types of cooked file systems.

And yes Sybase ASE runs on NT.
