Help: how to convert long to clob or something else ?

Hi,



i have problems to convert several tables which contain long columns. I have
to concat these tables to one big table.
Oracle does not allow any insert operations on these tables in combination
with select statements in the insert clause.



By the way, is there any possibility to convert long columns into clobs ???
