Why Can't I resize a datafile

Hi~

Several months ago we upgraded Oracle Server... Now, I'm working with Oracle 7.3.3.0.0 installed on Dynix.

I send below SQL to server.

ALTER DATABASE DATAFILE '/oracle/app/oradata/iitacnt_index.idx' RESIZE 100M

Server reply me below error.

ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00406: COMPATIBLE parameter needs to be 7.2.0.0.0 or greater

Why this happen? And What Can I do?
