I am a SR ORACLE DBA/Consultant who has worked in a variety of environments/projects. I am also a teacher at NYU of a course, ORACLE Database Administration.
I would recommend several book from ORACLE Press: 1. ORACLE DBA Handbook

ForDBA's who need to create and administer database and those looking for some conceptual information.
2. ORACLE7/8 Complete Reference

For SQL users and DBA's

Courses may be offered by

1. ORACLE
2. Univeristies in NY (i.e. Columbia or NYU)
3. CBT (i.e. Learning Tree International)
