Hi,

i am not shure it's in OraLinux but you might want to try for example:

tnsping '(ADDESS=(COMMUNITY=TCP.world)(PROTOCOL=TCP(Host=your_host)(Port=1526))' tnsping your_tns_nsmae.world
...

do not forget the '' in the shell environment. It's easier than to edit the tns* files every time.
